Welcome Letter

Welcome to Sixth Form 21, 

We are an educational brand-new project, a private independent sixth form college in Madrid for Years 12 & 13. 

We arise from the need for a different approach to post 16 learning in Spain, and each of the members of our educational community. including the Board of Governors,  brings its expertise and commitment to really make a difference by acting with purpose towards young people’s needs. 

Why a Sixth Form college? Sixth Form colleges are smaller and tend to provide a more suitable structure to support students, especially challenging alternative lifes such as high performance athletes, artists or musicians, or any student aiming for a more mature and specialised education involving time management. Our sixth form is innovative in its flexibility, approach and accessibility. Effective classroom learning  allows pupils to progress in their learning giving them time to pursue other interests. Our value added is to enable a balance between a high quality education and the full development of other duties leading to success in both academic and sports, music or arts. This is also key to promoting independent learning and further enquiry.

Being involved in the education of young people is a real privilege. We seek to help them become educated, considerate and resilient young adults, with respect for themselves, respect for others and respect for global issues and challenges.  

The expectations are high, but they are set appropriately for each student as we want their education to be enjoyable, challenging, inspiring, mature and purposeful.

We also want them to recognise the great potential they have within, that will be realised through hard work, commitment and real passion. 

Sixth Form 21 is a genuinely welcoming community where aspiration is admired and individuality encouraged.
